Biography

Kevin was born in Jacksonville, Florida, and grew up on the beaches there. In a desperate bid never to amount to anything or accumulate wealth beyond the double digits, he decided to pursue a career in illustration and writing. By these standards Kevin has been hugely successful.

During a sporadic flirtation with college in Gainesville, cut short by marriage and a move back to Jacksonville, along with the realization that the coveted poverty was not predicated by formal education, Kevin was inspired to leave the harsh existence of goofing off in Gainesville and spent a year goofing off in Las Vegas. Despite an entire year trying to recoup the investment of the move, lodgings, and board, official estimations still place the entire excursion at about $20 down at the blackjack tables.

Kevin frequently works as a freelance illustrator for Principle Woods, helping to create a character education-driven series of chapter books for elementary and kindergarten aged children (among other projects). Additionally, he is developing a fiction series for kids about self-empowerment and a monkey (when in doubt, add monkeys) and working on any of about a hundred personal projects that are about as likely to see fruition as Kevin himself is to develop an electricity producing roof paint that will run OPEC out of business. (If you ever read about his mysterious death and vanished corpse, you’ll know he succeeded.)

Most of Kevin's time is currently spent on writing, creating, and illustratng an on-going fantasy online comic called Heroes of Lesser Earth (H.O.L.E.). He is just plain giddy with the thing and plans to spend the rest of his life producing it. His goal is to actually have it pay for itself enough to go to sci-fi conventions on the proceeds and maybe world domination. As long as he keeps the house clean, his wife is willing to let him.
